The NGO was founded in 1995 at Hiriyur registered under Karnataka Society Registration Act 1960. It has been serving in Chitradurga district 6 taluk levels, Honnali Davanagere district and Haliyal Uttara Kannada District.The NGO has worked towards rural development by introducing trainings to generate income for the youth in Panchayat levels. Formation of SHG Groups for women in rural areas, specific groups for farmers that help them by providing information and knowledge about latest techniques in agriculture and farming. The trainings are provided in conjunction with NABARD. We also focus on various skill development trainings for both men and women in rural areas, additionally we also try to make them legally aware.
Ensuring rural welfare across the country will in turn ensure growth and development of the nation, working towards the same is a recognised goal of the organisation. Eliminating socioeconomic inequalities requires each citizen to be responsible, compassionate, supportive and collective at striving to reach this goal. SPARDAS helps achieve this goal by uplifting the rural population through various activities.
The NGO organises various specific training programs for youth development in order to generate employment for them. We aim to form SHG groups for women which will help women and the rural youth find sources of income. The NGO also potentially works towards forming training groups that educate farmers about the latest techniques in agriculture and seed sowing.
